That’s why sustainability is not just a goal—it’s a core part of our mission and everyday operations. From reducing our environmental footprint to promoting smarter, more sustainable container solutions, we’re committed to shaping a future that works for both people and the planet.
Every year, between 3 to 6 million brand-new shipping containers are produced. Surprisingly, up to 18% of these never even make a single trip across the ocean—instead, they’re set aside for land-based storage. Manufacturing new containers requires a significant amount of raw materials and energy, adding to the strain on our planet’s limited resources.
The truth is, for storage needs, a quality used container performs just as well as a new one. That’s why we’re passionate about giving used containers a meaningful second life. By reconditioning and repurposing these containers, we help reduce unnecessary production, minimize environmental impact, and promote a more sustainable way to store and build.

Sustainable Use of Containers: Our mission is to never waste a good container. We work to maximize the reuse, repair, and refurbishing of containers, and minimize empty movements. With advanced technology and data analysis, we optimize the supply chain and reduce our ecological impact. Containers are extremely strong. They have to be. Imagine being in the Sahara Desert one day, then traveling to the arctic circle in a month. They need to be tough. We cherish this toughness and believe shipping containers should have a second life after their life with shipping companies. We’re here to help our customers give containers a second life.
